What kind of work does Mercor offer?
Most open Mercor roles are expert work: reviewing, writing and grading content in your own field so that AI systems become more accurate. Typical listings ask for licensed physicians and nurses, attorneys, software engineers, data scientists, finance and consulting professionals, and PhD researchers. How Mercor pays
According to Mercor’s own payment documentation, hourly contractors are paid weekly, on Wednesdays, for the previous work week. Payouts go through Stripe or Wise depending on your country, contracts are set in US dollars, and the bank account must be in your own name. Stripe holds the first payout for 7 days.

How much do Mercor jobs pay?
The live figures at the top of this page are calculated from the hourly pay published in every open Mercor listing. In our October 2026 pay report, Mercor had the highest median starting rate among the platforms compared.
Can I apply from outside the United States?
Some Mercor roles accept applicants internationally, while others, including many licensed medical and legal roles, ask for US-based candidates. When a listing states country limits, OpenJob shows them.
Is the work guaranteed once I am accepted?
No. Like most AI training work, Mercor roles are contract projects: hours and project length depend on the client’s needs, and listings often state the expected weekly commitment.
