About the role
Remote contract for inpatient medical coders on an AI project: review inpatient records for accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding, determine principal and secondary diagnoses, and assess how MCCs, CCs and procedures affect DRG assignment. This work involves reviewing medical records: read the confidentiality terms on the official page before applying.
Experience
Active coding certification (CIC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT or another AHIMA/AAPC credential); inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS experience including DRG, MCC/CC and POA; access to current official code sets and AHA Coding Clinic; currently working in inpatient coding or CDI.
