About the role
Remote contract work for certified inpatient medical coders on an AI project: review inpatient records for accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding, sequence diagnoses, assign POA indicators, validate MS-DRG assignment, evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and give written feedback on coding errors. This work involves reviewing medical records: read the confidentiality and data-handling terms on the official page before applying.
Experience
Preferred: active CIC or CCS certification (or another AHIMA/AAPC coding certification such as RHIA, RHIT or COC); inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS experience; access to current official coding books and Coding Clinic guidance; current work in inpatient coding or clinical documentation improvement.
